![]() ![]() The average Strength required is 5, 4 and 6 is somewhat common, and 7 is rare. Some notes about the non-combat build, there are 'recommended' Strengths for pretty much every weapon, which isn't a requirement, but significantly effects Accuracy. Is it necessary? Probably not, but it sure does feel nice knowing I have all of these extra potential options, but again that's just my preferred play style. Int, Pers, and Att have popped up SO MUCH in dialogues it's crazy. I emphasized Intelligence, Personality, then Attention, and swapped one Strength for one Dex. I leaned more towards non-combat stuff because most rpgs seem like this, you get more options with them. There's a lot of recommendations for high combat stats, which isn't a bad idea, but it's not necessary. Many people are saying 10 Dex is a must, but I disagree. The strongest build in the game is to use automatic guns, then rifles, then pistols, then everything else, with melee being doable but really difficult and unarmed combat being completely impossible. They balanced the game around a handful of play styles and going too far outside of them means you'll struggle. In my opinion, the game is only fun if you min-max. They offer very little in terms of rewards or gameplay but you're still losing out on content.Ĭan you be well balanced? No. If your personality is too low, there's a lot of characters in the game who simply won't talk to you. You don't need it for the main quest at all. You could completely dump it if you don't care about talking to NPCs. ![]() Personality can be dumped to 4 if you're a female and 6 if you're a male, because there's consumable items out there that'll let you boost your personality temporarily. You can invest the points in something else instead. Luck can be safely dumped as it isn't especially good. ![]() Speechcraft is required to solve a lot of quests and you'll want to reach 125 points in it. Once again, the game is balanced around this, there's no getting around it. It controls your actions points which is everything in combat. They shouldn't even give you the ability to lower this. EVERY ENEMY NPC in the game has 10 dex, which means you're completely and utterly screwed unless you have that too. It gives you more defense the lower your HP is, so the more health you have, the better you can take advantage of it.ĭexterity at 10. The game developers assume that you have it and have based the game around this. The game was balanced around a perk called Think Like The Enemy. A LOT of enemies walk around with automatic guns and rifles. Which means you need a lot of skill points.Įndurance at 8. It should be considered a combat stat because unlike Fallout, this game is very stingy with EXP and you'll need to kill a lot of people in random encounters to level up.
